The word "CLOUDED" needed to feel retro and contemporary, bold and atmospheric, structured and organic.

Kinetic and dramatic but too frenetic. CLOUDED needed stillness, not acceleration.

Too literal. When the letterform is the concept, it becomes decorative rather than iconic.

Rounded strokes, retro 70s soul-record warmth, mixed-case personality. Strong foundation, then refined.

Display typeface for headline copy across the event series, with secondary display text derived from the logo letterforms.


Every figure across all six flyers began as a full ink-style illustration, drawn from photographic reference and rendered in comic linework.
